Breast Milk Storage - How to store your breast milk in freezer?

After donate 20 bags of breast milk to orphanage I found my freezer is going overloaded again very soon... and I learned from someone from the FB how they handle the storage of the breast milk.. I execute the plan in organising it properly.. following is how I handle my precious beast milk.. :)
this is before organising and before donate my 20 bags of breast milk.. so messy right?? it is hard to put in new bags according to dates too.. coz need to be first in first out..
fresh breast milk i keep in a small fridge in my room.. its goes grouping by day..Let's say today, I will normally packing the yesterday milk to be frozen and put it into freezer.. sometimes too busy then will be doing it for two days at once..
write the date and oz then tear the breast milk storage bags... then put the breast milk into the bag and putting at the edge of the table to make most of the air out from the bag.. then sealed it..
these are my 2 days extra milk going into freezer!! :)
then let them lay flat in the freezer to freeze it.. this will save a lot of space..
after frozen then put it backward into the container (I bought the containers from Daiso RM5 each).. then once the container is full then take the whole container and turn in around so the date of the milk goes by dates and easier to take according to date.. now my freezer is fulled again with my milk.. hehe.. feel proud of it.. and it is organised and safe much more space.. :)
this is how it look like after the container is full of the standing breast milk!!

Hi Yvonne, me again. Decide to leave comments here instead if emailing u. :)

Your blog has really been my super helpful source of info.

Wanna ask how do u know the portion to freeze? What should I do when I need to defrost the ebm? Eg if the frozen pack is 180ml, n baby is only drinking 100ml. So do I heat up the whole pack? What to do with the remaining 80ml? Or should I only freeze according to their consumption but it is also difficult as their appetite keep increasing all the time.

Thanks for ur help and advise all the time.

Cuen: it is advisable to keep just per feed qty.. but this is also individual preferences.. for example if your baby is having 3oz per feed.. then you may consider to freeze just 3oz or u can freeze 6oz (for 2 times feeding).. the frozen milk use if you return to work.. always when u with the baby Direct latch will be the best.. for example u going back to work or go out to run some errants.. then u defrosted 1 bag of 6oz milk.. after thawed then please keep it back to fridge (it can be use within 24 hours from the time u thawed it) so when baby hungry then u just pour 3 oz out and warm it to feed your baby.. unfinished one got to be discharge after 1 hr.. so next session baby cry again want milk then u warm the remaining 3oz lor.. :)
